2. Improved Shills - Many graduates have become more defensive and observant after taking the Rider Course.
3. Licensing Test Wavier - Over 20 states waive the motorcycle endorsement test, if you have completed a Rider Course

BEGINNING RIDER COURSE
You do not need any prior motorcycle riding experience to successfully complete this class. You will receive high quality instruction paced to your own experience and leaning rate. Course completion will fulfill all requirements for your SD motorcycle license. You will not need to take either the written or riding portion of the SD exam to obtain your license. Non-motorcyclists can benefit from this class by learning what a motorcyclist experiences and the necessity for developing respect for all vehicles on the roadway.

Novice and experienced riders can benefit in skill development with emphasis on control and operational aspects essential for survival as a street rider. Individuals desiring to become licensed motorcyclists are provided with basic skills beyond those required for the license examination. A completion card will be issued to each graduate.

EXPERIENCED RIDER COURSE
This course is intended for those who have motorcycle riding experience of at least one year or 1,000 miles. It is primarily designed to increase your skill level and develop greater awareness of perceptual skills. Specially trained instructors will lead you through eight hours of classroom and on-cycle instruction. The physical and psychological aspects of rider conditioning are considered, as well as special concerns such as emergencies, adverse conditions and accident avoidance.

Course content includes swerving, higher speed corning, counter steering, traction awareness and rapid braking. Course time is also devoted to motorcycle dynamics, such as wind effects, wobble, tire characteristics and load distribution.

You must provide your own motorcycle. Helmet and protective clothing required. All motorcycles must pass the instructor’s safety inspection and be insured.
